Earlier acts also give Jack far more variety in picking targets. Jack is too powerful especially in the first two nights due to the special moves. Whitechapel is a game of four acts and police needs to keep in mind that it is not about catching Jack in those first three nights (while possible, it won't happen against experienced Jack). What I've learned is that newer players to this game tend to think that the point is to catch Jack quickly, so it becomes all about finding the clues and then tracking Jack down and this is often disappointing since if Jack is any good then the police has no chance using that strategy. Having played Whitechapel in over dozen game nights and perhaps 20+ times, it is a game of 'red herrings'. r/tabletopgamedesign - Designer's subreddit.r/boardgameexchange - selling/buying/trading games.
